Antes da sua formaliza\u00e7\u00e3o, a avalia\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9tica era feita por comiss\u00f5es ad hoc do Instituto Nacional de Sa\u00fade (INS) e da Faculdade de Medicina da UEM. A cria\u00e7\u00e3o do Centro de Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o em Sa\u00fade de Manhi\u00e7a (CISM), em 1995, marcou um ponto de viragem, ao evidenciar a urg\u00eancia de um organismo independente para avalia\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9tica, especialmente em estudos sobre mal\u00e1ria e vacinas.<\/p><p>Em resposta, o CNBS foi oficialmente criado a 21 de Maio de 2002 com uma composi\u00e7\u00e3o multidisciplinar envolvendo institui\u00e7\u00f5es acad\u00e9micas, de sa\u00fade, jur\u00eddicas, religiosas e da sociedade civil.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div
